One place where your team and your agents keep track of the work.
Glosswork is a shared tracker for small teams. Your agent builds it, and your people and your agents work in it together.
Say what you need to track, in your own words: clients, projects, vendors, whatever you are juggling in spreadsheets today. Your agent, Claude or another you already use, builds it in about a minute, with your first records already in. Your team works in it from a browser, your agents read and update the same records, and every change shows who made it.
Copies this one line. Paste it into Claude, or into whatever agent you already use.
Set up Glosswork for me. Read https://glosswork.dev/install and follow it.
Your agent takes it from there. It asks whether you want to run Glosswork yourself or wait for us to run it for you, and does the rest.
For people who already run Docker. Glosswork runs on a computer you control, with no account and no fee.
Running Glosswork yourself works today and needs Docker. If that is not you, join the hosted waitlist and we will email you when hosted opens.
From one sentence to a shared tracker
- Say what you track. One sentence is enough: "We have about thirty clients. Track each client, the projects we run for them, and the vendor on each project."
- Your agent builds it. About a minute later you have a client list, a project list linked to each client, and your first records in. Every field comes with a note saying what it is for.
- You approve the risky changes. Your agent adds and edits on its own. Removing a field or a whole list waits for you, and you see what it would touch before you say yes.
What you get
Built from a sentence, not a blank table. Other tools hand you an empty table and a menu of field types; Glosswork starts by asking what you want to keep track of.
One place for people and agents. Your team works in a browser, your agents work in the same records, and every field explains itself to the next agent that arrives.
You decide who sees what. Each person and each agent sees only the lists you choose.
Change it as you go. Add two fields next week with one more sentence; anything that could lose you something comes back to you as a request.
Bring your spreadsheets, take your data with you. Bring a list in as a CSV file, and take any list out as a CSV file whenever you like.
Your agent can build anything. It cannot delete anything without you.
- What an agent can do on its own: add lists, fields and choices, and add and edit records. These apply straight away, so the conversation moves at the speed you talk.
- What waits for a person: removing a field, removing a whole list, or changing what kind of value a field holds. However much access the agent has, it becomes a request you approve in Glosswork. Before you decide, you see how many records it would touch and a sample of what would go. Approving saves a copy first, so it can be undone.
- What happens to a deleted record: an agent can delete a single record, but it is marked deleted rather than erased, it stays in the history, and it can be restored.
Every change is recorded against the person and the agent that made it. Nothing is edited out of the history.
Ways to run it
Hosted, when it opens. Hosted is not open yet. When it opens, we run it, back it up and keep it up to date, you get a private address for your team, and there is nothing to install. Leave your email at glosswork.dev/waitlist and we will write when it opens. We use your address to tell you when hosted opens, and for nothing else.
Run it yourself, today. Glosswork is one container and one folder of data on a computer you control. Your agent can install it by reading the page you paste in above, in about ten minutes. It needs Docker, no account anywhere, and no licence fee. Hosted and self-hosted are the same software, so if you start on your own computer and later want us to run it, your data comes with you.
Questions
Do I need Docker or a terminal?
To run Glosswork yourself today, yes. It runs in Docker, and a few commands get typed into a terminal: by your agent, if it can run commands, or by you, with your agent telling you what to type. Hosted, when it opens, needs neither.
Who can see my records?
When you run it yourself, your records are kept in one folder on that computer, and search runs there too. Inside Glosswork, each person and each agent sees only the lists you give them. Anything an agent reads is also seen by the company behind that agent's model, Anthropic if you use Claude, as with anything else you hand that agent.
Which agents work with it?
Claude Desktop and Claude Code connect through a small connection kit that the install page sets up. Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI and other agents that speak MCP, the standard way agents plug into tools, connect with a few lines of setup from the same page.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Any list exports as a CSV file whenever you like. And because hosted and self-hosted are the same software, a whole workspace can move between them.
What will hosted cost?
No price is set.
Can I read the code and run it myself?
Yes. Glosswork is source-available (FSL-1.1-ALv2, converts to Apache 2.0 after two years). You can read it, run it, change it, and host it yourself, including inside a company. What you cannot do is offer it to other people as a competing hosted service. Each release becomes Apache 2.0 two years after it ships.
Start with one sentence
Set up Glosswork for me. Read https://glosswork.dev/install and follow it.
Put in your own email and a password of at least 12 characters, then run:
docker run -d --name glosswork --restart unless-stopped \
-p 127.0.0.1:8000:8000 \
-v glosswork-data:/data \
-e GW_BASE_URL=http://127.0.0.1:8000 \
-e GW_COOKIE_SECURE=false \
-e GW_BOOTSTRAP_ADMIN_EMAIL=you@example.com \
-e GW_BOOTSTRAP_ADMIN_PASSWORD='CHOSEN-PASSWORD' \
docker.io/glosswork/glosswork:latest
Then open http://localhost:8000 and sign in. The install page connects your agent.
